558.515 Robenidine hydrochloride. Specifications: Type A medicated articles: 30 grams per pound. Conditions of use: Chickens (broilers) Amount: Robenidine hydrochloride 30 grams (.0033 percent) in combination with bacitracin, 50 grams (as zinc bacitracin) and roxarsone 22.7 to 45.4 grams per ton of feed. Indications: As an aid in the prevention of coccidiosis caused by E. mivati, E. brunetti, E. tenella, E. acervulina, E. maxima, and E. necatrix. As an aid for the prevention of necrotic enteritis caused or complicated by Clostridium species or other organisms susceptible to bacitracin. For increased rate of weight gain, for improved feed efficiency, and improved pigmentation. Limitations: Feed continuously as sole ration. Use as the sole source of organic arsenic. Poultry should have access to water at all times. Drug overdose or lack of water may result in leg weakness or paralysis. Do not feed to laying chickens. Withdrawal 5 days prior to slaughter. Tolerances are established for residues of robenidine hydrochloride in edible tissues of chickens as follows: a. 0.2 part per million in skin and fat. b. 0.1 part per million (negligible residue) in edible tissues other than skin and fat. Tolerances for total residues of combined arsenic (calculated as Arsenic) in food are established as follows: a. Chickens and turkeys (edible tissues): (1) 0.5 part per million in uncooked muscle tissue. (2) 2 parts per million in uncooked edible by-products. b. Chicken and turkey eggs: 0.5 part per million c. Swine (edible tissues): (1) 2 parts per million in uncooked liver and kidney. (2) 0.5 part per million in uncooked muscle tissue and by-products other than liver and kidney. The tolerance for residues of bacitracin from zinc bacitracin or bacitracin methylene disalicylate in uncooked edible tissues of cattle, swine, chickens, turkeys, pheasants, and quail, and in milk and eggs is 0.5 part per million |
