Dosage Amount, Indications & Limitations |
520.2220b Sulfadimethoxine tablets and boluses. Specifications: No specifications are included in the CFR for this product. Conditions of use: Cattle Amount: 1.25 to 2.5 grams per 100 pounds body weight. Administer 2.5 grams per 100 pounds body weight for 1 day followed by 1.25 grams per 100 pounds body weight per day. Indications: Treatment of foot rot, bacterial pneumonia, shipping fever, and calf diphtheria. Limitations: Treat from 4 to 5 days. Do not administer within 7 days of slaughter. Milk that has been taken from animals during treatment and 60 hours (5 milkings) after the latest treatment must not be used for food. A withdrawal period has not been established for this product in pre-ruminating calves. Do not use in calves to be processed for veal. |

Tolerances are established for residues of sulfadimethoxine in edible products of animals as follows: a. Chickens, turkeys, cattle, ducks, salmonids, catfish and chukar partridges: 0.1 part per million (negligible residue) in uncooked edible tissues b. Milk: 0.01 part per million (negligible residue). |
