522.1696b Procaine penicillin G aqueous suspension. Specifications: Each milliliter contains penicillin G procaine 300,000 units of penicillin G. Conditions of use: Cattle Amount: 3,000 units per pound of body weight (1 milliliter per 100 pounds body weight) daily. Indications: For the treatment of bacterial pneumonia (shipping fever) caused by Pasteurella multocida. Limitations: For intramuscular use only. Treatment should not exceed 4 consecutive days. Discontinue treatment for 10 days before slaughter: Milk that has been taken during treatment and for 48 hours after the last treatment must not be used for food. A withdrawal period has not been established for this product in preruminating calves. Do not use in calves to be processed for veal. Sheep Amount: 3,000 units per pound of body weight (1 milliliter per 100 pounds body weight) daily. Indications: For the treatment of r bacterial pneumonia (shipping fever) caused by Pasteurella multocida. Limitations: For intramuscular use only. Treatment should not exceed 4 consecutive days.
