558.550 Salinomycin. Specifications: Type A medicated articles: 30 grams of activity from salinomycin sodium biomass Conditions of use: Chickens (broilers) Amount: Salinomycin 40 to 60 grams and virginiamycin 5 grams per ton of feed. Indications: For the prevention of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina, E. maxima, E. brunetti, and E. mivati, and for increased rate of weight gain and improved feed efficiency. Limitations: Feed continuously as sole ration. Not approved for use with pellet binders. Do not feed to layers or to chickens over 16 weeks of age. May be fatal if accidentally fed to adult turkeys or horses. Amount: Salinomycin 40 to 60 grams and virginiamycin 5 to 15 grams per ton of feed.
