Specifications: Thialbarbitone sodium for injection when reconstituted with sterile distilled water provides 94 milligrams of thialbarbitone sodium per milliliter of solution. Conditions of use: Dogs Amount: Over 50 pounds body weight- 14.1 milligrams per pound intravenously 30- 50 pounds body weight- 18.8 milligrams per pound intravenously 10- 30 pounds body weight- 23.5 milligrams per pound intravenously Under 10 pounds body weight- 28.2 milligrams per pound intravenously Indications: The drug is administered as a general anesthetic in surgical procedures. The drug is used for procedures of relatively short duration. However, the period of anesthesia can be lengthened by slower initial injection and supplemental administration during surgery.
