Dosage Amount, Indications & Limitations |
520.1200 Ivermectin, fenbendazole, and praziquantel tablets. Specifications: Each chewable tablet contains either: (1) 68 micrograms (?g) ivermectin, 1.134 grams fenbendazole, and 57 milligrams (mg) praziquantel; or (2) 27 (?g) ivermectin, 454 mg fenbendazole, and 23 mg praziquantel. Conditions of use: Dogs Amount: Administer tablets to provide 6 [micro]g per kilogram (/kg) ivermectin, 100 mg/kg fenbendazole, and 5 mg/kg praziquantel. Indications: For the treatment and control of adult Toxocara canis (roundworm), Ancylostoma caninum (hookworm), Trichuris vulpis (whipworm), and Dipylidium caninum (tapeworm), and for the prevention of heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis in adult dogs. Limitations: Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian. |

A tolerance is established for 22,23-dihydroavermectin B1a (marker residue) in liver (target tissue) as follows: a. In cattle 100 parts per billion. b. In swine 20 parts per billion. c. In sheep 30 parts per billion. d. In reindeer 15 parts per billion. e. In American bison 15 parts per billion. Muscle residues are not indicative of the safety of other edible tissues. A tolerance is established for 22,23-dihydroavermectin B1a (marker residue) in muscle as follows: a. Swine 20 parts per billion b. Cattle 10 parts per billion Tolerances for residues of fenbendazole in food are established as follows: a. Cattle 1) Muscle. The tolerance for parent fenbendazole (the marker residue) is 0.4 ppm. 2) In milk. The tolerance for fenbendazole sulfoxide metabolite (the marker residue in cattle milk) is 0.6 ppm. b. Swine 1) Liver (the target tissue). The tolerance for parent fenbendazole (the marker residue) is 6 ppm. 2) Muscle. The tolerance for parent fenbendazole (the marker residue) is 2 ppm. c.
