520.90f Ampicillin trihydrate boluses. Specifications: Each bolus contains ampicillin trihydrate equivalent to 400 milligrams of ampicillin. Conditions of use: Cattle (nonruminating calves) Amount: 5 milligrams per pound of body weight twice daily for up to 5 days. Indications: Oral treatment of colibacillosis caused by E. coli, bacterial enteritis caused by Salmonella species, and bacterial pneumonia caused by Pasteurella species. Limitations: Not for use in other animals raised for food production. Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian. |
