522.2120 Spectinomycin injection. Specifications: Each milliliter of the drug contains 100 milligrams of spectinomycin activity. Conditions of use: Turkeys (1 to 3 day old poults) Amount: Subcutaneously at the rate of 1 to 2 milligrams as spectinomycin dihydrochloride per poult. Indications: As an aid in the prevention of mortality associated with Arizona group infection. Limitations: No limitations are included in the CFR for this species when using this product in this amount. Amount: Subcutaneously at the rate of 5 milligrams as spectinomycin dihydrochloride per poult. Indications: As an aid to control of chronic respiratory disease (CRD) associated with E. coli. Limitations: No limitations are included in the CFR for this species when using this product in this amount. Chickens (baby chicks) Amount: At the rate of 2.5 milligrams as spectinomycin dihydrochloride per chick. Indications: As an aid in the control of mortality and to lessen the severity of infections caused by certain microbial species sensitive to spectinomycin. Limitations: No limitations are included in the CFR for this species when using this product in this amount. |

A tolerance of 0.1 part per million (ppm) for negligible residues of spectinomycin in uncooked edible tissues of chickens and turkeys is established. A tolerance of 4 ppm for parent spectinomycin (marker residue) in kidney (target tissue) and 0.4 ppm for parent spectinomycin in cattle muscle in cattle is established. |
