522.2662 Xylazine hydrochloride injection. Specifications: Each milliliter of solution contains xylazine hydrochloride equivalent to 20 milligrams xylazine. Conditions of use: Dogs Amount: 0.5 milligrams per pound intravenously or 1.0 milligram per pound intramuscularly. Indications: To produce sedation, as an analgesic, and as a preanesthetic to local or general anesthesia. Cats Amount: 0.5 milligrams per pound intravenously or 1.0 milligram per pound intramuscularly.
