558.450 Oxytetracycline. Specifications: Type A medicated articles: 100 grams per pound Conditions of use: Chickens (broilers) Amount: 500 grams Oxytetracycline per ton of feed in combination with Salinomycin 40 to 60 grams per ton of feed. Indications: As an aid in the reduction of mortality due to air-sacculitis (air-sac infection) caused by Escherichia coli sensitive to Oxytetracycline; for the prevention of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria necatrix, E. tenella, E. acervulina, E. brunetti E. mivati, and E. maxima. Limitations: Feed for 5 days as sole ration. Do not feed to laying chickens. Withdraw 24 hours prior to slaughter. May be fatal if accidentally fed to adult turkeys or to horses. As salinomycin sodium. As mono-alkyl(C 8 -C 18) Trimethyl ammonium oxytetracycline. The amount of mono-alkyl (C8- C18) trimethylammonium oxytetracycline is expressed in terms of an equivalent amount of oxytetracycline hydrochloride. |
